About FCC

The Christian Church represents a fresh approach. It began a few hundred years ago as people from all denominational backgrounds began to pursue a simple approach to expressing their faith. Using the New Testament as the source of guidance, The Christian Church emphasizes unity around the “essentials” of Christianity.

This focus on the core values of the faith, on Jesus as Lord, and on the Bible as the ultimate standard for life choices creates an atmosphere that is grace-based and which encourages people to keep the main thing the main thing instead of becoming distracted by confusing denominational issues.

This church is identified with the great movement for the restoration of the New Testament Church.

1. By wearing a New Testament Name:
“The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.” (Acts 11:26)

“The churches of Christ salute you.” (Romans 16:16)

2. By believing a New Testament Creed:
“Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God…Upon this rock I will build my church.” (Matthew 16:16,18)
“Other foundations can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 3:11)

3.By obeying a New Testament Baptism:
“He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved.” (Mark 16:16)
“We are buried with him by baptism into death, that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:4)

4.By observing a New Testament Communion:
“This do in remembrance of me.” (Luke 22:19)
“Upon the first day of the week when the disciples were gathered together to break bread…” (Acts 20:7)
“Let every man examine himself.” (1 Corinthians 16:2)

5.By practicing a New Testament Stewardship:
“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35)
“Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him.” (1 Corinthians 16:2)

6.By living a New Testament Life:
“They continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread and in prayer.” (Acts 2:42)
“Grow in grace.” (2 Peter 3:18)
“Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee the crown of life.” (Revelations 2:10)
